Also, don’t miss out on the quirky local history items , like vintage surfboards and a whole lot of memorabilia you just won’t stumble across elsewhere.

Here’s a tip: Visit during the quieter weekdays or early mornings, especially in winter, so you have the place almost to yourself. You’ll find real gems when you least expect them, and that slower pace lets you soak it all in.
