Arthur Hamblin Art Gallery
Goldcoast
Arthur Hamblin was born in 1933 in Bendigo, a rural town in Victoria.
Arthur produced his first painting at age 16, although it was not until his mid thirties he began to paint fulltime. He portrays the Australian outback in a unique, warm and appealing way, hence his popularity both here at home and overseas.
The harsh and humorous life in the Australian outback is captured through the use of his main and favourite subjects. This being stockmen, cattle, horses, camels, bird life and Australian country life itself.
Arthur has won a number of prizes and awards in Australia.
He is also a realist landscape painter.
