Mo's Desert Clubhouse
Gold Coast
At a glance
Mo's Desert Clubhouse is a music-led multi-purpose venue at 6/36 Central Drive in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. The space brings together live entertainment, event hire, food and cocktails, creative studios and production facilities in one clubhouse-style setting.
The Warehouse is the main event space, hosting gigs, functions and private occasions. Its programming covers live music across heavy, rock, punk, indie, blues, roots, electronic and pop styles, with individual event listings providing the relevant details. The venue also caters for corporate events and weddings, making it suitable for organised gatherings that need a dedicated music or event environment.
El Ranchero adds a cocktail garden and food offering to the venue mix. It provides a separate setting for drinks and casual eating, with opening times linked to its own schedule. The combination of a performance space and cocktail-focused area gives the clubhouse a varied format, moving between live shows, social occasions and hosted functions.
Mo's Desert Clubhouse also operates as a creative workspace. Rehearsal and recording studios are available alongside a podcast and vodcast studio, a jam room and other studio facilities. These spaces suit musicians, performers, podcasters and creative teams requiring dedicated rooms for preparation, recording or production. Venue hire and studio hire are available for different types of use, with enquiries handled through the venue.
The overall character is practical and entertainment-focused rather than centred on a conventional restaurant experience. Live music audiences, performers, event organisers, corporate groups, wedding parties and creative practitioners all form part of the venue's audience. The Warehouse supports scheduled events, while El Ranchero offers food and cocktails in a garden setting. The site also includes a car park listed for up to 400 vehicles, although alternative transport is recommended when alcohol is involved.
With its combination of gigs, functions, hospitality and production spaces, Mo's Desert Clubhouse works as a flexible destination for music nights, private events and creative projects. Event times, access arrangements and the availability of individual spaces vary according to the booking or programme.
