Description

Experience the awe-inspiring presence of humpback whales up close aboard 'Jumgan', our purpose-built whale watching vessel. Listen to their incredible song with an onboard hydrophone and learn about humpback behaviour from our onboard marine biologist. Between May and November each year, over 30,000 humpback whales migrate between their summer feeding grounds in Antarctica and the warm waters of the tropics and the Great Barrier Reef. The Tweed/Gold Coast is the perfect place to experience the whales as they swim close to shore along the coastline. 'Jumgan' is a fast and stable rigid inflatable boat with comfortable seating for 21 guests. Used by military and police, the boat is perfect for getting to the whales quickly and safely for an intimate encounter with a small group. Listen to their incredible song with an onboard hydrophone and learn about humpback behavior from our onboard marine biologist. We often encounter other marine species such as dolphins, turtles, and migratory birds. If no whales are sighted, you are welcome to join the next tour free of charge, but with so many whales migrating, this doesn't really happen.
