Description
This session is designed to introduce you to surfing through simple, safe techniques taught by qualified instructors. After basic safety instructions, you will be guided into the water quickly to practice standing on your board.
Lessons accommodate groups of like-minded beginners, with separate classes for adults (13+) and children (6–12). Adult lessons maintain a maximum 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio, while children’s classes have a maximum 4:1 ratio.
No prior experience is required. The instructor remains in the water throughout the lesson to ensure safety and support. All necessary equipment is provided. Transfers from central locations can be arranged for an additional fee.

Important Information
- Lessons take place at The Spit Beach, located 2 minutes past Seaworld on Seaworld Drive
- Free parking is available on-site; alternatively, use Taxi or Uber as public transport ends at Seaworld
- Contact the surf school directly to book shuttle transfers
- Provide contact details to the local partner in case of day-of communication
- Participants must be aged 13 or older; separate children's classes run on weekends and school holidays
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel up to 24 hours before the lesson for a full refund.
For the best experience, wear your own swimwear, apply sunscreen, and arrive 10 minutes early. Morning lessons often offer calmer conditions and fewer crowds.
