The tour begins with a safety briefing and itinerary overview from the skipper before a 20-minute boat ride to Jungurra-Ngarrian (Cook Island Aquatic Reserve), located about 600 meters off Fingal Head, NSW. This reserve is a major foraging ground for sea turtles and was originally named Turtle Island. You will snorkel here among sea turtles and a variety of subtropical and temperate fish, crustaceans, and rays.
While cruising along the Tweed River, you may see eagles, dolphins, and occasionally kangaroos. Once on the open ocean, Cook Island marks your snorkeling destination.
