Varsity Lakes Tavern

Varsity Lakes Tavern is a neighbourhood pub in Burleigh Waters, offering a relaxed setting for dining, sport and social occasions on the Gold Coast. The venue brings together several distinct areas, allowing casual meals, game-day viewing, drinks and organised functions to sit comfortably under one roof.

The Grillhouse Bistro focuses on steaks and familiar pub classics, providing a straightforward dining option for lunch or dinner. The food offering is supported by a range of drinks and bar spaces, including a Bistro Bar and Sports Bar. The atmosphere shifts with the occasion, from easy-going meals and conversation to a more energetic setting when major sporting events are showing.

The Sports Bar is built around big-screen sports and a program of events, making it suited to guests who prefer to follow live action in a social pub environment. A dedicated TAB area adds another option for sports enthusiasts, while the gaming facilities form part of the venue’s broader entertainment offering.

An undercover alfresco area beside the Sports Bar provides an outdoor-style setting for an afternoon or evening meal. Its position also allows convenient access to the venue’s food and drink areas, combining open-air seating with the activity of the sports precinct.

Varsity Lakes Tavern also caters for private and group occasions. Function rooms and packages can be arranged around the requirements and budget of each event, with an events team available to assist with planning. This makes the venue suitable for celebrations, gatherings and other organised occasions that need food, drinks and a dedicated space.

With its combination of pub dining, sports viewing, TAB facilities, gaming and function areas, Varsity Lakes Tavern suits a broad range of casual visits. It works for a meal centred on steak or pub fare, a drink while following sport, an alfresco catch-up, or a planned group event in Burleigh Waters.
