Your tour will begin when you climb into a comfortable 4-wheel-drive Mercedes at your hotel and set out to Queensland's oldest national park. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, as the forest is filled with uniquely Australian animals and is a habitat for 85 percent of the fauna species in the Gold Coast area. Watch for koalas in the treetops, listen for the calls of lorikeets and lyrebirds and learn to spot tropical plants like strangler figs and eucalyptus. Next, you’ll enjoy morning tea and free time at Tamborine Mountain's Gallery Walk, where you’ll have the chance to explore the arts and crafts boutiques, sample local produce or visit a cellar door for wine tasting. After this, you’ll stretch your legs with a guided rainforest walk in the National Park to a secluded waterfall, where you’ll take in the peaceful sight of the cascading water and later try your hand at throwing a boomerang.
